Creating the Forumhome page in vbulletin

  #1

Dani,

How did you make your home page come up when you type in www.daniweb.com

The forumhome page in vbulletin is stored in /forums/index.php

so how did you avoid that and have your homepage come up when a person just types www.daniweb.com?

Daniweb's homepage is custom index file. 'techtalkforums' is a directory folder.

While DaniWeb is based on the vBulletin framework, there are many additions that I custom-coded myself, including our portal, the blogs, code snippet library, link directory, tutorials, and more.

In the vbulletin control panel.

-click on vbulletin on the left of the panel
-click general setting Or a name simialiar to that.
-then it opens up a window within the control panel
- you then click on the drop down menu and you will see a selection for homepage/url/cantact info.
-click that and you can change it right there.
