My name is Heidi Sladek born July 6, 1962.......
Received Technical Diploma from Gateway Technical College in 2004 for Office Technologies, which consisted of some proofreading assignments.
From there I went on to a printing shop where I proofread for American City Calendars. I received high praise as a proofreader.
From there I went to Southern Lakes Newspapers, where I am currently employed 30 hours a week. I proof most ad copy for all 14 publications, as well as proof editorial copy and front pages. I have been employed there for one year.
Several years ago, I got my start proofreading in a crystal-etching department. Where a crystal product could cost upwards of $100, we couldn't afford any spelling errors!
I am enthusiastic to be searching for freelance proofreading jobs, as I have adequate time to pursue this. I am single with no children and spend about 4 hours a day on my computer.
I'm also a freelance graphic designer for business cards as well as having written my own book, mini-book for publication soon.
I heard about you through online searching through AOL under 'work at home proofread'.
Please reply as I look forward to hearing from you. My fee is $10.00 per hour.
