Can't open pages made in Front Page in Dreamweaver

  #1
Sep 1st, 2006
I am trying to open pages that were made in Front Page in Dreamweaver MX. When I try to open them in Dreamweaver this is what it says: "this file has no extension and will be opened in code view. If you wish to edit this file in design view, rename the file with the appropriate extension (eg. htm.).

I did not create the site myself but I checked the ex. and it was saved as an htm. file so I can't figure out why I am getting that message. I also tryed renaming it as an htm. and html file and it still won't open.

Anyone who can help, I would greatly appeciate it. I need to update my job website and I much rather do it in Dreamweaver.

Thanks!
