Which codec do I need?

  #1
Sep 29th, 2006
I transferred a video file from my harddrive to a CD-R several months ago. Today I put the CD-R in and I got a message saying that "one or more codecs are needed to play this file". I clicked on "web help" but nothing happened. I also get this codec message when I attempt to play some web-based files.

How do I know which codec to download and where do I get them?

Thanks!
