They did that at our college. As they only block the proxy changing on IE, we downloaded portable firefox (download here), and could then change the proxy settings through that. (And browsing with firefox is so much nicer

Remember - The simplist method is often the easiest.
What do you put in these proxies? I am quite confused really about the proxy things. I don't really know how to configure the proxy of any internet browser.
I also tried to go into a few anonymous proxies but the filter regarded going to these servers as loopholes. This is quite a hassle for a person who just wants to checck their emails regularly or go onto forums
O h and i also to use firefox portable via my mp3 player, therefore, i am able to use firefox with ease. or try to anyways. I haven't been able to actually use the internet with firefox just yet
