The administrator quit- the site went down- when you login it points you to "mysql" has too many connections. we have done all the obvious mysql fixes and the problem is in the asp/net - the previous developer used visual studio?
We need someone to take a look and tell us what it takes to get it functional again. It is a small business database site. clients download pdf surveys- admin uploads into the db.

Ive been told the problem is GAC and runtime licenses in .Net , which i know nothing about-

what are you running it on?

different windows oses have diferent numbers of max. connections

Increase the value for MAX_CONNECTIONS in MYSQL to 500 or more..

Hi, Its nothing to do with the window connections.. its all related to mysql. The exception message shows Mysql error so obviously it deals with maximum connections of mysql.

Not a dabbler in mySQL setups...but thought this may be helpful
