How do you transfer a single record in Filemaker Pro

[FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']I have a very beginner type question. I use File maker pro to maintain records of member for a local Historical Society. We want be able to move a single record/member from one database to another. We do not want to import the whole database. Is there anyone out here that can help me?
