Hello

I need some honest and brutal feedback on a site I am building for my mothers crafts business.

Any and all feedback will be very appreciated and helpful.

Thanx in advance to all reviewers.

ok you said be brutally honest.

Hire a designer. That's all I can really say, otherwise I would be typing for a long time. No offense.
Need a website designer? arizona web design : phoenix web design : MCP Media intelligent web design and web development solutions. MCP Media is owned and operated by Chris Hooley - who happens to be a real nerd... on purpose :-)

I don't disagree with "Az Web Design". He/she's right and ultra-talented.

I also know it's not always possible, so here's a few.

1) The text on the home page wraps strangely. (I use Internet Explorer)
2) Americana Heart magnet image doesn't display
3) Cookies on all the pics? What's that about.
4) I like the picture in the center "Mrs Richardson's Class"
If I could click that and see a bigger version so I could inspect the
magnets, that would be better.

5) I'm not sure what shopping cart package you are using, but if you
could make it after the click of the thumbnail pic, show the description
text and the enlarged pic all on the same page, that would be better.
Having to click a second time for an enlarged pic, is a little to much
"work".

6) The one I happened click all the way in to get the enlarged version
was enormous. I think more than filled my 1024x768 screen.
No need for that. A much smaller pic that fit comfortable on the
page with the text description will do ya.

7) If the "navigation" link category names showed the magnet count,
that can be helpful to some surfers.

8) THIS IS BRILLIANT:

"Basically what we are saying is if you try to eat the magnets or bite the wood we are not to be held responsible for the outcome. "

How about this...
"Basically, if you lick, bite, eat or hurl the magnets at an unsafe speed, we are not responsible for the outcome."
;-)

9) What about this.... (are you sitting down?)

(suggestion moved to PM)

Believe it or not, I think you could be sitting on a gold mine.

Good Luck!!

Arizone Web,

No offense taken but unfortunately we currently do not have the funds to pay for professional work at the time.

DanPhx,
3) Cookies on all the pics? What's that about.

I do not understand what you mean by cookies on all images.
do you mean the oscsid and long number after the link? That
is a session id

I have been told that it is required to view the site. not sure !

will fix the oversized images and see if I cant get the pic in the
product info page to be larger.

I could resize the thumbnail image but that would make the pics huge on the catagory pages.

I am using a heavily modded version of os-commerce.

thanx for the feedback everyone.

anyone elso would like to comment would be appreciated.
