It sounds like you have a similar problem to the one I just fixed. CWS also has a hidden trojan file dll that doesn't show up anywhere. See my thread and that of JohnCT. The trojan disrupts the ability of some activex controls like housecall uses. I don't know enough that I want to tell you how to do it, but I followed Caperjack's instructions to JohnCT and was able to fix it. The file he recommends to download "beta-fix" has been replaced with a new version called findnfix, don't know if it works the same.

thanks for the recommendation bentkey, I tried to download beta-fix by copying the shortcut, but it seems even that doesn't work.
I looked at JohnCT's post but it seems different to my problem.
Anyway, here's my latest progress update.
Everytime I run HJT it no longer finds a suspect DLL file in the BHO list, but everytime I run Adaware it finds a CoolWebSearch file in my System 32 folder, I can't find this file in APM either!
The latest file Adaware found was called jkd.dll. Even though I remove it with Adaware it still comes back under another name, how do I get to the root of this problem?
Thanks for the help!

Try the fix at this forum http://forum.tweakxp.com/forum/forum...TID=16258&PN=1
I haven't used this myself, so am not willing to go through with it.
