I disagree to buy a PR10 link, first at all you need to drive traffic with your keywords and if this PR 10 site is not similar to your, probably will not affect so much your position. Anyway the page rank system is only a google strategy, i have some PR6 websites that are not visited so much instead other PR2 pages that works better! So PR is impressive..but it's working as they says???

Just ot inform you I did not do it. It was a link on Statcounter. I read so much on them and the chance it will not give any PR juice I did not dare to take the risk.

Ok, if this is something you can invest into, $3,000 for a PR 10 link might be worth it for some and not worth it for others, but since you already have a PR 7, it might be worth the investment in the long run but probably not worth it if you don't have the capital and can rather spend the $3,000 per month on something else such as more direct marketing possibly.

Thank you for the update. Yeah, I've heard about StatCounter and how they don't pass PR juice.

A very wise person said to me recently that a text link is only worth it if you would advertise on the site if Google didn't exist. Is the site relevant to yours? Is your link stuck in there with 500 others?

What is the PR worth to you? Esentially, it means nothing in terms of visitors or SE ranking, but if you think it's worth the advertsied figure, then go for it.

Personally, I couldn't give two hoots about Page Rank.

Those were some very informative answers.

3800/month, you could definetelly split this money up to pay a good writer, a good designer, and a good promoter to get better content, better looks, and more people visiting your site (cause bottom line, that is what you want when you do look at your traffic statistics)

Well I have a good design, good content and I think I reached the max of relevant visitors in my field. I also asked because I am selling textlinks as well. In that part of my business buyers look at PR (only sometimes), so the PR-juice is also important in my situation.
