Please Review My Office Live Site

That isn't as simple as you make it sound though. maybe if you were to pay someone to do it but doing the whole thing your self is never going to be that easy.
I did have another thought though. You could have a got at moding a blogger blog to do what you want to do. This would be hard but atleast you would have full control and no worry of the server stuff.
But that would require alot of quick learning. My advice would be just to stick with it at the moment and try and do as many html tutorials as you can for the next few months then have a rethink.

Hello roryt and GiorgosK,
Thank you both for all the great professional advice and suggestions you've offered and I apologize for taking so long to respond.
Quote: "That is a real shame for you because it does mean you are pretty much stuck with how it looks.... so you should just try and get the best you can without touching to much code."
roryt, while I am unable to edit the "pre-existing" code in Office Live, I did add some additional code into the OL HTML module, but it was only to change/add the background color, replace the header that OL provides with my own logo/brand and remove the "Live Search" bar above the header that comes standard in OL templates. Actully, Office Live allows for adding as much HTML as desired and also enables one to create an entire site using only the HTML module so I suppose that one would have to have HTML and other code somewhat mastered in order to achieve the desired solutions and effects mentioned in yours and GiorgosK's posts.
Also, I don't understand what you meant where you say....
"You could have a got at moding a blogger blog to do what you want to do."
GiorgosK.. I truly appreciate all your observations and professional advice and will research further into some of your suggestions regarding the free templates from oswd.org and alternative hosting as well as maybe taking a course in HTML/CSS so I can understand how code does "what and why" when I have the time and interest in learning the technical side. Sounds like the best way for me to go considering my limited time and budget.
I never realized how time consuming creating a website could be until now. I have over 25 pages on my site and with the amount of art I had to create/manipulate for uploading, not to mention the research, compilation, organization and linking of copy, images and other information, I now understand and can appreciate the cost involved in outsourcing web creation.
Thank you... Aurealeus

I am unable to provide as in-depth a review as your previous respondents but my suggestions for the home page would be:-
1. To make the list of services, links to the relevant pages.
2.On the image links at the bottom of the page, I would like to see alt text appear as I roll over them to indicate what they signify.
Regards
Taffd

Hello Taffd,
Thank you for the suggestions. Originally, the list of services were linked but later incorporated the list into an image in order to achieve the scroll effect as now presented. I might eventually go back to a linked list if I can achieve a cleaner presentation but as it stands currently, the HTML text doesn't do the page any justice. I do have the list embedded into the meta-tags as well as hidden under the header to aid in searching.
As for the image links, I agree that the text should appear as one rolls over them. I did enter the text into each individual image file but for some reason the text isn't appearing. I've been quite busy lately and haven't had much time to edit the site further... hopefully in another week or two, I'll start making some of the changes that have been suggested throughout this thread.
Thanks for your review.

Hello and thank you,
I just joined the site, and I am wondering if you guys could please take a look at my site, it was done with MS Office Live. What prompted me to write to you, is that when doing a search for Garage doors in Orlando, I get all kinds of results, even companies as far away as Arizona, before my I can see my site. I am trying to get my site of the ground, and I am doing as much as possible on my own... (money being at a premium...)
Any and all feed back, either positive, but most important, I welcome constructive criticism.
Thank you so much for your time.
