Formatting Raid 1 Setup

Hi All, first, please forgive my ignorance im very new at all of this.

A friend from work built me a pc, he set it up in a raid 1 configuration, I would like to reinstall windows XP. My question is, when I formatt the hard drives, do I do it like I was running one drive, or do I need to do something special since it is in a raid one configuration (formatt each hard drive). I would ask the guy who built the pc for me, but I want to do it myself.

Thank you in advance.

Tom

When you use raid your hard drives act as one when you reformat them you only need to reformat like its one drive.
