My Imac G3 was always acting up when it turns on after 5 to 8 minutes it shutsdown, so i decided to open up and found out that it has a defective power supply, no parts available so I dissembled it make an improvisions, using its optical protection switch imade a pcboard as an interconnect pach to a pentium 4 pc power supply and now its running good, and I can use an external monitor with a VGA to apple adaptor, it works fine and enclose my Apple hardware in a plastic casing. It works great, I may even post pic's to prove that it works
