Help With Trojan

  #1
Jul 19th, 2004
Hi, any help would be much appreciated.

My AVG on start up detects a trojan with the following title:-

Trojan Horse Proxy 5.AS

Rather than asking me what to do with the virus at the end of the scan it automatically heals it. On restarting the computer it is still there. I have tried scanning in safe mode etc. I haven´t deleted anything from the register files as i don´t know what I am doing.

Here is my Hijack Log ??

Unzip HJT into it's own permanent folder before doing anything in order for it to create backups. (Not a temporary folder or directly on the desktop (in a folder on the desktop is fine) & not directly on your hard drive). Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked' :

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [autoclk] autoclk.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [x0r] C:\WINDOWS\System32\x0r\svnhost.exe

Reboot into safe mode following the instructions here & navigate to & delete the following if found:

C:\WINDOWS\autoclk.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\x0r\svnhost.exe

Reboot normally.
Please have a look to see what else is in the x0r folder.

Post a new log please, but first update hijackthis to version 1.98.

Hi, Thanks for the help.

I have done as you have said and no trojans detected so far during re-boot.

I have checked the x0r folder which appears to be empty?

Here is the hijack scan using lates version.

Looks ok now. You really need to get service pack 1 for both XP & IE6 for security reasons.
There are also a couple of (no file) entries that happened with hijackthis 198 first version, but there was an update that rectified the problem. See if there is an update for it, can you. There is an update feature within HJT.
You can also delete the x0r folder if it is empty.
