Question New to web design

I have been trying to build my own sight since I write, play, sing, and produce my own music, but it looks like I do not have the patience for this. Is there any freeware web building software easier to use tha what I have,"Frontpage, & Macromedia Dreamweaver?"
I have really givin effort but I just do not understand, even using the dang tutors!! Any help would be awsome!!!

I would say after designing a fair amount of sites myself, depending on what use it is for ( if accounting you will need to use php and mysql, and i agree with stymiee about that one) but for basics in html and css, use dreamweaver its the simplest to use and for help on the language side go to http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_intro.asp
