DSN using ODBC Driver for Oracle doesn't remember password

  #1
Mar 26th, 2008
Hi everyone,

I have a third-party application which uses DSN (in this case, only system and user DSNs) to setup database connections. I created a connection using the "Microsoft ODBC for Oracle" driver, but everytime my application needs to access the DB, I'm asked for password. I cannot change the way the application links to databases, since I don't have its source code.

Is there any way of saving the password?

Thanks,

Black Swan

If there's no field to enter it in the DSN properties dialog, there isn't. If there is, there is.
As people are clearly allowed to attack me but I'm not allowed to defend myself, I no longer post to this site.
