The behaviour you're seeing is apparently due to a security hole found in netapi32.dll, which (as of about Aug. 12th) is being exploited by hackers. Please do the following:

1. Download and install Microsoft's security fix.

2. Download the free Windows Worms Doors Closer utility. Run the utility and choose to disable all of the ports/services it lists. Note that if you have a local network and need to share files/printers with other computers on that network, you'll have to leave NetBIOS enabled.

After doing the above, test-drive the computer for a while and let us know if you still experience the crashes or not.

alright at last i found the causation... haha get used to it in legal system. hmmm basically it was caused by csrss.exe which is the Microsoft Client/Server Runtime Server Subsystem. basically i figured out that some ppl that able to clear the matter up after update is because they been provided a latest or refreshed version or csrss.exe. cause usually such program will be duplicated to create particular spyware and adware. and it is not able to be detecte/terminate/delete in anyway. certain program have the possibility to detect but it is not recommended cause it detect the antivirus and protective program as dangerous treat ( maybe is sort of like programist (i was trying to say the programmer treat other program like a racist)). so the reliability = 0. if still wanna know what is the program is. then search for Security Task Manager. so basically we need a new version of csrss.exe or a fresh version. and of course it can be overwrite in safemode or safemode command prompt. but taht still in research. backup before trying.

That makes sense- the fewer network services you have up and running, the more bandwidth you have for everything else.

really? i do have the same problem, my version of windows was already updated, but then the problem still exists? do we have any solutions other than updating windows? thanks
