Unable to load games in Yahoo or Pogo

I mistakenly deleted Java from my computer. I have downloaded it again, from both Java, and MS. I still cannot get games to come up from either of these websites.
I have walked through, and followed all of the directions. I am quite sure I have all of the buttons selected that should be, but the games will not load.
Each time I open, I get taken to a link to download Java.
Please help if you can.
