Hello all-
I'm looking for some advice.... As a newbie to rails and ajax I've been enlisted to add a feature to an existing application. In a page where users create new accounts I need to add some kind of observer to the form that checks to see if an account with that name or a similar name already exists. For example, if a user wants to create a new account called "Twentieth Century" and something called "20th Century" already exists I want to ask the user if this is what they really meant. I'm just beginning to do research on this and would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction as far as what I need to learn/investigate to get this done.
Thanks very much.
