I suggest changing the font of "Parenting" in your header. It looks too much like a horror film title and may not be welcoming to some.

I think you need a designer to work on this site. it is one of the most bland that I have witnessed here, and there were some bad ones. Start from the beginning and think about what is it that you are trying to present to the world. With millions of sites out there competing for the "eyes" you will not catch any. The infos might be good but the presentation is not.
