I'm always looking for reviews of my site: http://forums.livingwithstyle.com

Please nitpick. I especially am interested in things that, as a visitor, might turn you away from registering.

Thank you.

One question, why would you want to pay people to join? I mean if the forum was cool in the first place people wouldn't hesistate, unless you are planning on selling the email's for spam, or alternatively the payments are just integrated into a virtual store.

Opening up the forum is dull and bland, nothing inspires me to register, maybe if you added a latest posts portal or something. Anyway for me its just another message board out of the 2743824824823643859375 others on the net.

Peace y0

Your banner ads are awfully cheap ... I'm very interested how you can afford to pay members and exactly how that works. Hmm. Curious. Very very impressive though! Also ... amazed what you have done with vBulletin. It *is* vB3, right?

You get PAID to join? I don't get it. How?! Why?! What am I missing?

Anyway -- for reviews -- yeah the forum part is clean, nice, easy, etc. etc.
That banner on the front page doesn't inspire me to sign up though. I think it's because I'm a visual person -- and I had to read through the whole big banner to figure out that I'm supposed to sign up and that I'll get paid for it. Maybe something with an image rather than just a gray box with text? People respond to images very well -- images that invoke some sort of emotional response. Maybe that'll inspire your imagination?

Cheers,
Shannon

P.S. Wait -- why do you pay people to join?

It reminds me of YaBB! (Simple Machines) colors. Semi-Invision colors, too. At first glance (very first glance) I thought it was a YaBB forum. And I hate YaBB forums and don't register on them

I understand that paying members to post is very unique; in the eyes of some, strange or poor business practices. But my plan is progressing exactly as I have envisioned. We have rather grandiose plans for our site, and this is just the begiinning of that process.

How does it work? A member gets paid 1.00 "Style Point" (our forum cash) upon signing up, .02 for each thread they make, .01 for each post they make, and up to 2.50 for referring a new member. There are a ton of other means of obtaining Style Points too. People can use the SP on the forum for various features and memberships, buy tangible items in our store, or cash them out for cash.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, it is vb3 If you think what you see is hacked, our backend systems would absolutely blow your mind.

Thank you for your feedback. I agree something needs to be done there.

Personally i dont like those colors.
But thats yust me and my strange taste =)

But one thing im gonna be picky about is that you should try to add some spacing in your tables. It all looks so cramped together.
