How to create an MP3 player.

I am a beginner programmer an i started a project to build a mp3 player of my own.

This is my first project in big level.

Any kind of guidance or help will be greatly useful to me.

If any one have some idea's please help me.

SDL is totally useless, as MP3 is native in Win32.
See MSDN samples to play MP3.
(3 lines of code with mci...)
