Hello. I recently began learning Assembly language using free tutorials I get off the Internet, and am planning to write my own tutorial soon. But as I'm a newbie at this, I'd like to get some facts stragiht first:
1. What does "DOSSEG" stand for?
2. I see lots of different ways to write a pure assembly program, what way is right?
3. Where is an assembler that is free, has good documentation, is preferably an IDE, or at least supports copy/ pasteing?
I downloaded NASM, but I can't get the program to run. Help, please.
How the heck am I supposed to write a TAASM Program? I downloaded the most recent abandonware version from vetusware.com, but all the programs I can see are debuggers and setup programs.
Any other tips, tricks, hints, etc. would be more than welcome. Thank you.
