I cannot get sound in Yahoo Chat

  #1
Jul 15th, 2008
I was chatting in a yahoo chat room with voice, have always been able to hear and to talk on mic. I did not load anything or open an unknown email. I logged out of chat and a few hours later logged back in but could not get sound. It says "there is a problem with voice, trying to reconnect with the server" but it never does connect. I have done a system restore, deleted yahoo and reloaded several times with muliple versins from both the yahoo site and from freecreed. (the one from the yahoo site would not work). I have defragged, checked my microphone settings - nothing is muted, checked my yahoo settings, I have tried the troubleshooter and tried to update my sound driver but it says there is not a newer version of my current driver.
What could be causing this? and how do i fix it? It has been 4 days now.
Also I can talk and hear in a private call on yahoo, and I am running windows xp
