how would I tell python (using pygame code) to do an event after a certain amount of time? Would I use pygame.time.Clock()?

If you are using pygame you would want to use either:

pygame.time.wait()

or

pygame.time.delay()

for more information on how to delay an event go to:

http://www.pygame.org/docs/ref/time....game.time.wait
