Hi!

I've read a similar thread... http://techrepublic.com.com/5206-623...230371&start=0

But the way our network works, is simply a central server, and I have 6 other computers that make a remote desktop connection (terminal/server). Each user has a different user account.

Now my problem is..

I am logged under administrator account (directly on the server, not remotely) and I want to update an application we use (Fortsum Acomba). I am getting an "access denied" message. I tried creating a second folder such as "c:\Acomba2" and try installing it there, for the sake of testing, and still, it won't work. Though I tried creating a text file, and it worked. I can create, delete, and modify this file.

How can the admin under win 2003 get an "access Denied" message? Is that fixable?

Let me recap:

I have tried installing from the "add a program" option in the "add/remove program" feature of the control panel.

The result has been the same though.

Let me recap:

1) personally shut down all the other computers/terminals.

2) Plugged a keyboard and a mouse directly on server.

3) open control panel>add/remove program>add new program

4) try installing the update, which is on a dvd, supplied by our supplier.

5) install process starts, seems to copy 2-3 files, and then I get an error : access denied.

there, I'm stuck.

thanks a lot guys..
