need help with vaio VGN 115

My vaio powers up and then asks for boot device , I have used the recovery disk , but still the same problem. any idea what I should do ? is it the disk that is gone or could it be something else?

When you load with the recovery disk does it recognize the Hard drive as being installed?

Try going into the bios and setting the HDD as the first boot device.
