please give more DETAILED information. its really hard to help when i have no idea what option items or some items relates to.

how can i color this option or highlight it

this is an html/javascript problem. php won't really help.
in html and css, there really isn't anything that will work across all major browsers. javascript is probably your best answer. sorry to say, but i am not a javascript expert and have no idea how to help. hopefully someone else can help.
