How to install extra webcam

Hi,
I have an on board cam on my notebook, but i want to install another one. I installed some so called driver software on the CD that came with the webcam but the software sees the on-board cam, not the one it should. Thanks in advance for your help.

i would think you will need to disable the onboard one first
