Hi folks
I'm looking for a way to take an RSS feed, filter it according to some predefined rules and then email the results. Ideally this would work on a linux based webserver.
I'm not a developer - so it would be great if there were some tools out there that I could configure that would do the trick.
Thanks
Craig

There are several such softwares for a Windows based machine, however for a Linux machine there are very few. Please check this if this is what you are looking for http://rss2email.infogami.com/getstarted

You can feed your RSS feed to Yahoo Pipes (pipes.yahoo.com), manipulate then using the operators available and then create filtered output feed.
Burn the output feed on feedburner.com and then subscribe to it using an email id (to get updates in you email)
Hope that helps.
