Need New Video Card

I need AGP Video Card for my Hp Desktop, Slot 8x/4x for an old Hp that runs flawless. I'll be using a new Viewsonic Monitor #VX2235WM, The Monitor has both VGA and DVI Ports. Will not be used for games. I just make movies and surf the net with it.

Other info on my computer: Motherboard is Kelut #A7V8X-LA, AMD XP3000, 2.10Ghz, Max out memory @ 2 Gigs.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thank you.

If your in the UK you could get something like this http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...x1y0z1p0s0n0m0.

Why do you want a new graphics card though? After higher resolutions?

Emm... i'm using GIGABYTE Radeon. With my system, the card can just about play Crysis Warhead on Enthusiast settings at 1156x864, though is more comfortable on "Gamer" with 4xAA.

It depends a lot on what you mean when you say "make movies". If you're talking windows movie maker and clips of your kids birthday parties you'll be fine with about anything, but more serious video editing can be very gpu intensive.

What kind of pricerange are you looking at?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102814 is a decent card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125249 should take care of you on a budget
and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102730 is about the best perfrmance for AGP

You need to keep a eye on your power supply though, a lot of OEM systems have just enough power to run stock hardware and don't have much to spare.
