changing the image dynamically

how to change the image after each second in asp.
in case of banner,i have to change the image after one second.
how to do this in asp.

1. use javascript slideshow script. many free codes out there.
2. use GIF animator software to bind many images together into one GIF image file.
3. use macromedia flash.

The first will consume a lot of both server and user PC memory. Will definately delay the page loading and turn your reader away (Why images have to change every SECOND??). The second option may be not dynamic if you have too many images. The final option the best.
