MS Open Transport Error msge

I'm on a 333 iMac using OS 8.6 and Office 98. Recently I had to reload system, and now everytime I open WORD, I get the error message
"there is not enough memory to load the Microsoft Open Transport Object shared library."
Another symptom is that we now can't paste a clip from an web page
into a Word document. Neither of these faults existed before the system
crashed. Any ideas? I've increased WORD memory, reloaded Office 98,
turned virtual memory off and nothing seems to change. Appreciate any advice.

Have a look at Microsoft's Knowledgebase Article #272347

It doesn't appear to include your exact error message but it gives you a place to start.

Thank you very much. You're the only person I've found
who's experienced this fault and was able to resolve it.
I'm going to apply your instructions.
