first you need to add logo, second you need to darken your categories links

Good idea for a site mate, basic look but and thats not a bad thing i like the idea but you need alot more content i started my site last month and did'nt really know to much about web design but yea im getting their check out my site http://www.ausscene.com/ and http://ausscene.com/index.php first month i got just over 18,000 visits and last night after i done a big update on my site i got near 5,000 visitors over 1 day so im hoping things will pick up soon on the next few updates.

The directory looks pleasant and attractive colors, I like it. I think there is no need for the "Search:" text, in-front of the search bar, try to remove it..

And try to make it more professional (I mean by using only a couple of colours)
