Issue on Safety remove hardware from USB

Sometimes when i press stop button.to stop a hardware device.
i got error .the device generic volume cannot be stopped right now.
Try stopping the device later.Kindly let me know the idea .Any
help would be highly appreciated.Kindly find the attachment also.

That just means there is a file or directory still in use. Perhaps the last 'save as' location.

A Reboot *should* allow it to safely be stopped, if you can not find the application that is still using a file or folder.

That depends on if you can find the cause or not.
If you can determine that it was a certain program's last 'save as' location, simply open that program and save a file somewhere else that isn't going to keep the USB device in use.

What is the USB device?

Maybe find the process/program using the drive and stop that.
I don't mind helping but please mark your thread as solved once the problem is sorted. If you figure it out tell us how you did it, don't just abandon your thread!

  1. i am using vista Premium Edition .when i try to restart .Still
  2. unable to safety remove hardware.Kindly let me know the
