NEW YORK, NY (July 15 2005) Daniweb.com, an IT Community with over 43,000 members, was recently awarded a Google Page rank of 7, a goal that the site's administration has long been after.

The page rank technology is used by search giant Google Inc. to classify pages inbound link popularity, and plays a role in dictating the order of search results.

Google's increased page rank comes only a week after the site broke the 40,000 member count, and the increased search engine visibility is paying off.

"I'm looking at Daniweb right now, and there are nearly 800 members on," said Joe Durby, a longtime Daniweb enthusiast. "How can I not love this amazing community?"

Durby says his love for Daniweb stemmed from the release of the Code Snippets feature, which has provided him with endless amounts of free code.

"The site really has helped me grow my programming knowledge, which in the end, has made me a much better performer at work," he said.

Time will tell what the future holds for Daniweb.

What's up with that, I've noticed the same in some of my other sites. You would think that google would be smart enough to know that that's the same site and give it proper PR rating, I just don't get it.

Even stranger i'm now seeing a PR6 rating got Daniweb?
What's far more interesting though is the increasing membership number - it's a far truer reflection of the forums' success.
