Not sure even how to thread?

Let me attempt an intro.
I had a interest in programming since primary school but a few flopped programs and some bad life choices took me on a learning adventure of a mixed education some good some not so good.
But anyway to get to the point I started a degree in IT and had some troubles with some hardware and liked this site so I thought that it would not be a bad idea to join, so hear I am.
I am afraid that most of my input would be questions with not much input in help for a while. Heck I am not even sure if I have done this right.
