But you said in your last post that you also have a computer on which
internet is working properly? Thats why I was asking if that computer
is also joined to domain?

Which OS do you have in your Laptop, WinXP or WinVista?

If you are geting "Limited and No Connectivity" then follow these steps:

1) R.C--->LAN Connection--->Repair. If Repair doesnot do the job then
move to step 2 and 3.

2) R.C--->LAN Connection--->Disable.
3) Click on Start--->Control Panel--->Network Connections--->R.C---->
LAN icon--->Enable.

If still your problem is not resolved ,get back to this thread.

Maybe you cannot use the "Obtain IP address automatically" option because the ISP wants you to access the internet service using static configuration.
But it say dynamic in a type column.Kindly let me know.when i issue arp -a at dos prompt.

C:\Documents and Settings\firoz>arp -a

Interface: 10.0.0.186 --- 0x2
Internet Address Physical Address Type
10.0.0.138 00-23-04-12-3c-f9 dynamic

C:\Documents and Settings\firoz>

Now hopefully you will be able to join your computer or laptop to domain?
Kindly let me know how should join laptop to domain.using Active directory user and computer
