Re: Cannot open any windows websites (hotmail, man, windows update..) Hello. I ran into this same issue after I got some updates on an older dell I had. I was told to run the windows validation tool. Its available from Microsoft. I also had the problem on a computer that was given to me from a friend, it had a bad version of windows and they said it wasent valid. Because of that i wasent able to check my hotmail or any Microsoft websites. I would check for the windows validation tool. Let me know if this helps Best Regards Tim

Re: Cannot open any windows websites (hotmail, man, windows update..) Thanks TechTJ, I have just sorted the problem. In this case it was an issue with my router (Belkin G+ Mimo ADSL2) which for some reason did not use the correct MTU. Had to download an update firmware update from Belkin and all is back in order. Thanks

Re: Cannot open any windows websites (hotmail, man, windows update..) Most probably when you updated your Computer, the Router which was connected to it could not recognize it since the updates change the security options and other features of your Operating Systems and for that you had to update the firmware of the Router so that the firmware could know the new updated settings of your Operating System.
