Java/J2EE - Jr & Sr Software Engineers
 

Our client, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the government, is in need of a several Java/J2EE Software Engineers for their Alexandria, VA location:

Sr. Software Engineer

Required Skills :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Mathematics (or equivalent experience) and 4-6 years software development knowledge and experience using Java/J2EE, developing GUI-based desktop applications using Eclipse RCP, Eclipse IDE, Java Swing or similar technology (such as .Net Visual Studio). Specific skills include:


3+ years experience using any of the following for J2EE desktop development: Eclipse IDE, Eclipse RCP, Java Swing, .Net Visual Studio
2+ years as Java/J2EE Developer preferably in an IBM WebSphere environment.
1+ years using UML or other modeling tools for describing software components
Some understanding of Web Application Server configuration concepts including EJB deployments, Web Services and Connection Pooling Services.
Familiarity with with SOA methodologies (WSDL, SOAP, UDDI), document structures, parsers, XML/XSL, XML based API's in Java.
Good understanding of Relational Database Modeling techniques.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications (Desirable):

Experience in EAI tools, performance tuning, messaging.
Working knowledge on CM tools – ClearCase, PVCS Dimensions.
Exposure to IBM Rational suite/tools, Mercury products
