Please help. For whatever reason

I have vista

I cannot open my control panel, security alerts, and other things. I downloaded and ran ad-aware, but it got automatically uninstalled!!! I am not the brightest when it comes to computers and removing viruses etc.

please help.

I would love to help but I am not Vista-aware.... nevertheless, check out the top sticky and post a hijackthis log.
