ahh ppl im sorry if i boring you with this infamous problem but i have had it for over 2 months adware gets rid of it for about 1 day then comes back,, sooo annoying my sites are redirecting and not to mention the crappy homepage

Hi. :) First you should post all HijackThis logs in the security forum. One of the security experts can take a look at it there and advise you. I'm sure someone will be along to move this there shortly. Also, you left out part of your log. It doesn't state which version you are running. Make sure it is version 1.98.2, which is the latest one. Be sure to save it to a permanent folder so it can make backups in case you need them. You may want to try scanning with Spybot also. I believe you said you already tried Adaware. So you may want to scan with Spybot. Good luck. :)

BTW....you may want to also check out some of the other threads in the security forum dealing with the about:blank issue and see if any of the fixes work for you while you are waiting to hear from your log. :)

yeh thanks m8 i am running version v1.97.197
i have tried spy bot aswell with no luck
its getting to the point of a system restore

While you are waiting, go ahead and update your hijackthis to version 1.98.2. The newer version may pick up something that the older one doesn't. Do that and post a fresh log. If browsing through some of the other threads dealing with about:blank doesn't help any, I'm sure someone who can help you further will be glad to.
