looks state of the art.. ..for 1996. a typical frontpage product.
its not your fault. really its not.

no flash no movement.. no java pannels or buttons. muted colors or bright colors
low res graphics, no special fonts. no java. no flash. no background.
Quick load and everyone can see it. simple. run of the mill front page end result.

My suggestion: get Dreamweaver mx 2004. a free trial available at http://www.download.com/3000-2048-10013427.html
or buy for 399$. you get what you pay for.

you could also post a one time only price to have someone do a simple site
for ya in the "help wanted/ job opportunities" section of Dani Web and see if
someone bites
ya never know..

tbear263,

I've got some ideas on how to make your website more visually applealing and professional. The layout looks like it should work well, but I would suggest: use a better color setup (I don't think yellow really agrees with the rest of the site), round the corners of the divisions, make the page use up less space horizontally (viewers with 800x600 resolution need to scroll a bit), remove the redundancy in the title, get better logo graphics (they're a bit pixelized and compression artifacts are visible), and rework the navigation.

Once you've done this, the site should be more servicable and good looking. I would also google your competitors and see what they've done.

I would make the right side of the site (where the navigation is) one solid color, and have the links be expanded to the full width of that, here I made a quick example in photoshop to show you what I mean.

If you want, you can use those colors, but I recommend finding something else besides #FF0000; for the rollover state.

I did as you said it does look better. I have been trying to locate some type of Java or DTHML script to create the navigation buttons. The rollovers look so cheap. Any ideas ?
PS I have no idea how to do any coding .... :(

everything seems so structured. why dont u try to make the borders less prominant by chosing a better color scheme and everything will meld together.
