loading into dataset

iam having "users" as root node and some name as childnodes . how can i load that into dataset.

xmlfile:

<users>

    <gg>hgjhgs</gg>

    <nithya>ggsg</nithya>

</users>

i need to load it into a dataset .
or i want to countthe childnodes
