IE-links won't always work and will not "open in new window"

I suddenly have a problem with one of our computers. Quite often links will not work. Java Scripts won't run, and when I select "open in new window", it does nothing. I've checked out the options area and can find nothing wrong. I'm stumped. Any ideas? Running IE 6.0.

Also cannot use my "help" files and cannot download MS updates. Can do other downloading though.

Another classic IE case
Take the steps in the other similar threads believe me your not the only one IE is jerking around
