Software Build / Release Engineer
 

Our client is looking for an experienced, full-time, on-site Software Release/Build Engineer in Oxford (UK). You will have responsibility for the design, implementation, testing and the subsequent enhancement and maintenance of the secure operating system and build environment for our client's products. We're seeking a bright, dynamic, confident, eager professional who is keen to make a difference. Someone with strong admin and configuration level experience in Linux and/or Unix distributions (c. 3+ years), plus experience of creating and managing build systems and processes, along with demonstrable experience in C++ development. 'Nice-to-haves' include software packaging using rpm; porting experience; hardening operating systems and application; strong Scripting language experience eg Perl or Python; software security knowledge. Useful, though far from mandatory, would be any mix of: Centos, database systems (DB2, Oracle, MYSQL, SQL Server etc), Kickstart, Build automation tools such as ANT, Cruise control etc.
