Newbie question: How do I change Mac address?

How do I change Mac address of my laptop ? replacing the ethernet socket will do ?

well there are 2 ways. you can either replace the NIC(Network Interface Card) or you can use a program called SMAC. this is a MAC spoofing program that changes the windows registry.
