CPU use is high in Win2003 R2

Hello,

My Win2003 R2 domain server showing high cpu use. When I started domain backup. It was taking whole 2 days for just 280 GB data. Few day ago it was taking only 5 Hrs. Please help me in this regards,

Yes it is really some high in WIN2003. i think it is because of some difference from other windows OS.

First of all thanks for the replay.

I found the the problem. My norton which is running on this server has not detetected some viruses. But when I have scan all the drive for another system I found some torgen virus on one of drive on the server. Thankfully it has removed it & now my server cpu use is just 8 to 20% while backup is running. Although I still observing the speed. Thanks any way for the replya once again.
