| Help with notavirus I'm trying to get my daughters laptop up and running well again. It keeps stalling out and then she can't reboot it for hours at a time. She uses Windows Vista which I am unfamiliar with. She says OneCare is her virus scanner and it came installed???? I ran the cleaners as directed (I tried to anyway). Results below: TrendMicro online scanner found Adware_180Solutions but couldn't delete it. Microsoft Windows Malicious SRT - No maliciouos software was detected. PandaActive Scan gets stuck on Item in progress: D:\Windows\winsxs\x86_mic...96077da\kernel32.dll. Claims there's 66 infected files. I would like you to run one more online scan and that is the ESET Scanner You will need to use Internet Explorer to to complete this scan. You will need to temporarily Disable your current Anti-virus program. Be sure the option to Remove found threats is Un-checked at this time (we may have it clean what it finds at a later time), and the option to Scan unwanted applications is Checked. When you have completed that scan, a scanlog ought to have been created and located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt. Please post that log for us here. I would also like you to download and run HiJackThis Do a Full System scan with it and save the log. Post back here with the ESET Scanner log and the HiJackThis log. Judy |
