using php to monitor and open com1 modem port
 

Hi
Does anybody know if there is away for php to open a port i.e. com1 which is connected to the modem and pole for a incoming call? idealy I would like php to display CID (caller ID) from incoming call, then insert it into a mysql database. or pop up a box which displays the telephone number and then 2 buttons one for accept which will check a mysql database if the telephone number doesnt exist it will go ahead and insert the number. and the other button for reject which will ignore the telephone and start poling again?

Reason being is becuase I am designing a touch screen software system using php and mysql. I do have this software in VB6 but as 99% of the development is done in php i was wondering if this could be done?
